Hey kids!
Had a loverly weekend! Friday night Rachael and the ever-adorable Cayla came over and I did my part to make Cayla adore the original Star Wars. Later that night I went over to Dave and Holly's where we all played drunk Pictionary with Jenn and Frank. Frank and I were wearing the exact same shirt, similar pants, and black bowling shoes. Saturday I had lunch with Steve at PANERA!!! and then to make the day even more exciting, spent the evening in the company of lovely Lisa, who you see on the right. She took me to The Desert Café in Mt. Washington, where we had yummy food! Later on we ate cookies. Yay! She rocks.
Sunday I spent catching up on chores, and working on the Blade Runner guns. Yesterday I got my resin from Ka Yin! Maschinen Krieger madness - I am swooning. Today is April Fools day, so I'm prepared for anything... scary. I'm listening to the new Radiohead cd, which doesn't come out until June. HUZZAH for Paul, for hooking me up. Love, Jason

Hey kids!
Yesterday was FUN.

Jenn and I on the deck at work.

Jonathan stunned by the power of Jenn's J-Lo ass.
After work, I went to a high school in Baltimore to see Lisa's younger sister in Grease. She played Marty, and it was great!

Lisa and me during the pre-show.

The girls mid-sleepover.

This guy cracked me up. Great presence.

She was born to hand-jive, baby.

Intermezzo. Silly!

Post-show with the girls vamping it up.
Whee! Great night!

Goood morning!

I'm totally miserable this morning, as I am sunburned. Hahaha! In April!
Lisa and I went to India's in Annapolis Saturday night, and I must say, they make the best Mango Lassi I've ever had. Sunday we went to Rowdown, a horse race that my boss attends. We had a limo, and a massive tailgate spread. It was fun.

Here's Holly, Dave, and Rob.

Here I am with Lisa, pre-sunburn.

Here is the creepy stuffed Fox across the way from the Landmarks spot, which freaked Rachael out all day.

I'm beginning to peel, huzzah!
Now I can re-enact key scenes from V-The Final Battle as I pull skin from my cheek. Delicious.
I changed my email last week, and only now have gotten around to telling you guys about it - sorry! I sent you all a generic pretend robot email. Yes, the underscore fields are there on purpose. I got tired of being told I needed to go on a gay cruise trip and maybe while I'm at it, enlarge my penis. Awfully presumptuous of those people. Don't they know I'm straight, with a monster rod? Hahahaha. (wipes tear from eye)
I've decided to start in earnest on nailing down that childrens book idea... as a warm up I'm registering a new domain name and will make a few flash cartoons. Sadly, every permutation of "www.monkey___.com" has been reserved. I wanted robotmonkey especially. Dang. I will finish up some other projects first though... I have so many in a state of flux, and the 1:1 Artoo Detoo head will be shipping soon... waargh - that's gonna be a rest-of-the-year kinda project.

Yes, main website is dead. I'm splitting it up to more effectively maintain cohesion. It'll be a while while I redesign, as I want to learn those wacky web programs better. So last night the Landmarks crew piled into a limo and went to Delaware for a book party... food and booze flowed freely. Crazy kids.

Jenn says she looks fat here. She's being reeduckulus.

Here I am, full of prime rib.

Me and Monica.

Glenn, one of our sales reps, getting the meat!

Dave and Jenn, in the limo. I'm so freakishly tired I want to cry.

Awwww fawk - I crashed!
Great evening last night - went and saw The Postal Service at The Black Cat in DC... fantastic show!
Tonight? Not so hot. Monkeying around on scooter... kablooie!
I'm all sore - badly swollen ankle, scraped arm, and my right ass cheek is on fire... ouch!
The scooter is pretty badly bruised too - I need to replace the rear right fender and middle rear fairing - easy enough, I think - just some bolts... and the parts are plastic. A quick call estimates them at around $200 for parts - I'll get concrete numbers tomorrow. But fuck - my stupidity has cost me - bruised ego, bruised body, shattered plastic! But hey! Found that reflector in the road - $11 saved!

I'll spare you shots of my blue ass cheek.

ps - Postal Service cd is AMAZING... go buy now!

As promised, here are pics from last night's exercise in stupidity:

Scuff on the front - adds character!

Red fender - craaaaaak!

Big white part - keeerack!

Black part - busted!

Me - sad.
Coming soon - video still of (literally) one second before crash. Jonathan didn't get it on vidoe though... the crazy kid was more concerned for my safety... sheesh! Hehe.

Hey kids!
Yesterday I got my scootah parts in, and fixed my baby. The ineptitude of Honda in Crofton resulted in one incorrect part, and one in the wrong color. I can get by fixing the one part (and saved myself $90!!) and the wrong colored part means the back of the scooter is now solid red instead of the White Stripes-y two tone. I'm conflicted a little - I do like that mine is now a little unique, but miss the super-retro candy look it had. However, come winter, I'll be repainting all the body panels anyway, so I decided I can live with it for the next 6 months. What am I going to paint? I dunno. I like the idea of a black and white scheme. I'd get the part in white (it was the lest expensive panel - $35) and paint the red parts black. Sleek. We shall see.
I'm also suffering from some nasty allergies - grrrr!
Here's pics of yesterday's fun:

Hey gang.
A moment of silence for my Nikon Coolpix 990, which appears to be deceased. It will be missed. I think I may replace it with thsi 'lil happy fellow: http://www.dpreview.com/news/0302/03021804nikoncpsq.asp
Camera fans, lemme know whatcha think. Saturday was "catch up on all my errands and chores" day. I installed my ceiling fan, finally. Thanks again to Renée and Gregg!

Yesterday was fun on a bun! I went to Timonium and saw Lisa bellydance.

She was great!
Belly full of Shish Kabob, and I got to see a lady dance with a tray of lit candles on her head. Neat!
