Prepared for any April Fools tricksters. I will stab you, jerkass.

Haha, just kiddin' around.

So April is gonna be another busy month! I'm looking over my schedule... I have a trip to Pittsburgh in a little over a week, a few stellar concerts to attend, a few social events, and on the 31st, Lisa, Tom, Jane, Steve, John, and scads of others are all going to a prop party in PA! So look forward to all sorts of goofiness...

Lisa and I had a lovely evening of Sopranos, Six Feet Under, and South Park catching up... ah. Even Simon Kitty got in on the snuggles.

So I talked to a Mortgage Broker last night... the second one. Just gathering information... I want to make sure I buy at the right time, financially and market-wise. He follows up with me later today - we shall see what he has to say. I'm curious to see if it mirrors what the first guy said.

I'm also getting a new car later this year, so I'm getting my ducks in a row, now. I'm most likely getting a Mazda3 in Lava Orange, hatchback. The interesting thing, for people who know me is that this isn't a VW. I've really become disenchanted with VW since 2001, and just want something rock solid with affordable maintenance. I'm also thinking of getting an automatic!!! SHOCK! BLASPHEMER! Yes yes, I know. Here's the deal. Stick is fun to drive... but not in traffic... which is pretty much everywhere. One day I'll have a fun car that isn't a daily driver that I can buy and fix up. Something funky weird, with syle. It'll be stick. Convertible, and most likely from the 1960s. Google "Sunbeam Tiger" and you'll see what I mean. Until then, I can get a new Mazda3, enjoy less expensive car payments, and not wear out the clutch. Plus - Orange is FUN. And I miss having a hatchback. What if I wanted to buy 40" x 60" Fome Core and lug it home with the Jetta?!

I'd like to give a shout-out to Tom, Jane, and Jennifer - who are all enjoying the annual Artfest in Washington state! The Wynns are teaching! I hope you all have fun! Hit Archie McPhee for me, you jerks.

Guess who's going to Death Cab for Cutie tonight?

Sunday, April 4th, 2004

Spent a lovely day with Lisa's family in Baltimore! Early Easter party!

Last night Lisa and Jonathan and I waited patiently on V Street to see Death Cab. We met up With Crystal, Scott, Dave, Holly, Jenn, Frank, Bobby, and Debbie inside!

Baa baaa - it was great!!!

I spent my evening smooshing putty into Nostromo parts (and getting goopy fingers) while watching Sopranos and Deadwood - my new favorite show. I am fascinated with the old west... fucking unreal. Didn't see that coming, did you? I am learning more about the real life Deadwood online. Al Swearengen has got to be one of the best villans to come out of TV ever. When I am older and craggier, I can be him for Halloween, hehehe.

My vista for the evening.

God-damn parts. Riddled with little divots that need filling.

I'm off to bed, as its super late (taking into account the Springing Forward and all that).

SCOOTER WEATHER!

CONGRATS ANTHONY AND CAP'N CRISSAH!

It is with great excitement and pleasant suprise that I announce my younger brother and his lovely wife are PREGNANT! It's gonna be a soccer player! Expect just an insane amount of pics and whatnot... due in November!

I would also like to say HAPPY BIRTHDAY to Miss Lisa! Lamb cake!

We will properly celebrate the awesomeness that is her birthday next weekend. Easter must passover ahaha.

I got in some scootin' this week, between the rain and cold.

All next week I am in Pittsburgh PA, shooting ads and experiencing the sales calls with Bill Paviol and John Q! I should have 'net access in my hotel room, so hopefully I'll be able to update and stay plugged in. I'm working on a project to finally plug into the "about me" link up above. it's been empty for a year, ulp!

I'd also like to say RON - TAKE IT EASY!

My boss goes in for Angioplasty, ends up getting quadruple bypass surgery, and come into work TWO DAYS later. That man is driven.

Song on iPod? "Pillow Queen" by Cub. Go go go to bed for a thousand years!

It's 1:24 am, and I have to drive to Pittsburgh tomorrow... so I'll keep this (relatively) short. I just got back from a RAD Rasputina show!

(Hey Dallas!) PLAY ME!

PLAY ME TOO!

Hooray for the Sheraton having high-speed wireless! I am online 5 hours away from home! The drive up was awful. POURED rain, and on the PA Turnpike with car carriers and 18 wheelers... then we hit the ground running and didn't get finished until almost 10.

Sunday was so much nicer! Lovely day with Miss Lisa! YAY! And you already know about Raspy ;)

Here's pics from todays adventures. More in-depth stuff later, when I'm not working on a 2 year old clunky painfully slow iBook. But I can't really knock it... it's letting me surf the web, iChat, and update my pages with SLOW PShop and SLOW Dreamweaver.

This was as sunny as it got today. A nice drizzle.

Me and John Q, who is learning the ropes. So far he's performing very well! He knows the gear, and is super-personable!

We went to a place in Pitts that has classrooms designed by all nationalities. I am too tired to remember specifics (and I shot the damn ad, haha) but these dog heads on chairs were from the Irish room, I think.

This was in the Polish room.

Freaking beautiful Hungarian room!!

The ceiling was to DIE for!

Bathroom door in the Veterans place.. more on this place later!

Haha I am paying sly homage to Jane! Marble everywhere! Opulence!

Death Mask of Lincoln.

Nazi guns! I believe the bottom one was issued to Paratroops, and is the basis for the Hoth Rifle in The Empire Strikes Back...

Me in the room from The Silence of the Lambs! Where they had the big cage? I got some juicy pics ;)

I'm outta here! Tomorrow is equally insane!

Hello again!

I'm at the hotel for a breif pitstop. We hit the ground running at 8 am, and will continue through until 11 pm tonight. Here's some highlights from the first leg of day 2:

Cruddy panorama I shot at 7:45 am from my hotel window on the 9th floor. There is a train that runs alongside the river!! Chooo choo! Clickity clackety!

Stainless Ford from a museum we shot B-roll in.

Heeee!

They also had the Jeep Prototype from the Bantam company!! YEAH!

Pretty flowers from the whatcha-call-it by the other places.

Orchid? I hope so... took the pic for Miss Lisa.

Blue flowers! Neat!

I just wish the pics could convey how gorgeous everything was.

We hit a non-denominational church up for some Editorial Content. The docent was very nice, and the camera liked the church!

Brass peacock for Lisa!! I need to find one to buy! From India Garden Restaurant! Mango Lassi in my belly!

Here are my last batch of pics from Pittsburgh!

John Q, who was learning the ropes.

He has a good sense of humor, haha.

Bill, Landmarks rep, the man responsible for the wirlwind tour!

His awesome daughter Sarah, a Hello Kitty fan!

The incline takes you up the mountain!

Apu works in Pittsburgh!?!

That poor horse!

Here is my trademark "Jason looking over glasses while standing in a pretty room" pic.

We finally had sun for a half an afternoon.

Sarah was my helper!

And that's it!

I had a delightful weekend. Spent Friday with Miss Lisa! Saturday Tom and Jane came down and we saw Kill Bill II! It was very good. Different in tone from the first film, but thoroughly enjoyable. I am tired!

Song on iPod? Damien Kulash demos!

The ducks have returned to the back yard. They LOVE bread. These two will spend the whole summer about 4 feet from my window, dammit.

Today Jenn was horrified to find she was wearing the same Death Cab for Cutie shirt as Crystal. She even refused to turn around for the pic ;)

Also got my Indy hat!

And holster!

And gun!

POW POW!

So I started scanning in all my old comics from the 1990s.

Found a comic I did as a one-off for an april fool's edition of the college paper from 1994, hehehe:
