I spent a nice relaxing day at home today, cleaning, organizing, and getting things done that I have not had time for lately. I feel re-energized.
Lisa, Tom, Jane, and I spent the weekend in Pennsylvania, at the King of Prussia Sheraton. We met up with all sorts of wonderful prople from the prop boards. People came from Canada, California, and England! Be sure to check Jane's Xanga (in my links section) for her pics! Here's mine:

This is Russ, modelling Steve's Wolverine jacket.

Blasters!

A gigantor grub made by Scott and Brenda for a tv prank show.

Tom eating dinner Friday night.

Jane, doing the same.

Michelle, Sabean, and Mookie watching Karaoke... we went on to sing later that night, hehe.

Todd Kelley, heartbreaker.
It was a great trip - I really miss everyone already! Raj - see you in a month or so!

Sunday we went to Philly!

Made the pilgrimage to the Eye Gallery!

Stopped and snapped the flower pics.

Went koo-koo-nutty at Pearl!

Bye Philly!

Here are pics of my new babies (well, one of the two)... Seraphim from the Ark of the Covenant prop from Raiders of the Lost Ark! I will clean them up, gold leaf 'em, and eventually make an ark... maybe as a TV cabinet.... hehe.

Heya gang! I was stopped in traffic for like 20 minutes this morning while they filmed a fake motorcade for The West Wing.

There they are, poised to make their roll-by. Weird to see a "presidential motorcade" just stopped in the middle of the road.

Bikes!

Fake figureheads!

Tom and Jane on Saturday! ;)

Tom!
Scooter painting is progressing nicely. I should be done by Wednesday. That's nice, as it rains today and tomorrow. Perfect!

Scooter panels are shiny!
Guess who got slammed in the bandwidth department yesterday? Some cool gadget website linked to me yesterday, and by midnight I had over 1,000,000 hits. Needless to say, I'm way over my monthly allotted bandwidth. I'm flattered, but my account almost got suspended, which would irritate the crap out of me. Plus, MaK isn't Nazi related. Sheesh.
To think, all though High School I was curious to know what being popular was like. Now that I have it, it brings me problems. Figures.

"NEWS" flash!
My eBay auction will be featured on MSNBC tonite (no shit) somewhere within the program called "Countdown".
Watch from 8pm to 9pm.
I'm in the "oddball" section, which is a transitional segment from their show's content to commercial (I think).
Click HERE for a link to the auction that made my day so surreal and fun.

Well, I finished.

I decided to name her Beatrix, as in Uma from Kill Bill (think "tracksuit").

But it also closely mimics the Shooting Star from Speed Racer.

Yes, Racer X's car. Speed's brother.

I added the rearview mirrors this morning.

It glistened in the morning light, grass fresh with dew. (giggle).

And scooter came in handy this morning! A water main broke downtown, blocking all car traffic and forcing everyone to go around (or through) the city to get to Eastport. Except me, as I just hopped off the scooter and walked it on the sidewalk (which was still open at this critical intersection). Haha! YEH!

Pow! Shards of asphalt pushed out by gushing water. It was like a half dozen natural springs had decided to make their debut.

Cops were, of course, bemused.

Well, I was on that show last night, and hopefully some affluent Ghostbuster fan was watching.
Click HERE for the transcript (I'm approximately halfway down).
I'm getting all sorts of great fanmail from the UK, Scotland, Russia, and apparently someone in Sweden (I believe) likes me - LOOK.
I also got a few emails from people who think the Proton Pack is real (huh?!?) and even reconnected with an old friend from college who I haven't seen in like 10 years.

Plus, the Goodyear blimp was following Me and Marie when we went to pick up lunch for everyone at work - from the office all the way to Baja Fresh.
Weirdest. Day. Ever.
Seeing Sondre Lerche tonight - YEAH!!!
Monday, May 17th, 2004
Well, I had a stellar weekend!

Lisa, Tom, Jane, and I went to the Rams Head on Friday night to see Sondre Lerche and the Faces Down - wow!! Such a great show! We met up with Beth and Paul too! I hadn't seen Beth in like 8 years, so it was wonderful to see her again. Paul and I talk every day on IM, so it was also a rare treat to see him face to face!

Jane was a movie star.

Tom & Lisa shared a menu until our waiter brought more.

Dessert was had once we were inside the "on stage" area.

Charlotte Martin opened for Sondre, and really reminded me of a 1991-era Tori Amos. A lot of comparisons were made to Kate Bush, but really, I heard more Tori. Of course the argument can be made that Tori was gigantically influenced by Kate, but I digress. Bottom line - Charlotte Martin was great! Were I the Jason Eaton of 1991, I'd be obsessed with her sound.

Then the talented Mr. Lerche™ came on... wow.

His band was fantastic, he was fantastic. Rarely have I seen a band have so much pure FUN on satge.

Is this a Dobro? Excellent musicianship!

They were extremely tight... so much fun!

And personable! See?

I'm proud of my 19 year old brother for forcing his way into a 21-and-over venue to see them play. Yeah!

Paul came over Saturday and scooted a little!

He owns a Harley, but looks great on Beatrix ;) I covet his ketchup shoes.

Arrrr.

He brought his dog Trotsky! Heee - the cats FREAKED. Was good fun.

Trotsky likes props!!

All in all, a lovely weekend.

My auction ended - nutty! I updated the left bar to show archive the crazy past seven days. I also linked to my (still-in-the-works) "Choose Your Own Adventure" I'm building... good stuff.

Hey kids - Lisa and I are in Pittsburgh!

Also, here's Simon, totally zonked on fresh catnip!

Monday, May 24th, 2004
Here are the rest of the Pittsburgh pics.

In the elevator of the Raddison.

My view of Pittsburgh from the back of the "Duck Boat Tour".

Lisa shows Bill her Swatch - the Bunny Sutra. (Just Google it)...

Bill realizes what the bunnies are doing.

They're wrestling!

Sarah, Bill's daughter!

She's über fun.

We saw her interactive videogame!

The Paviol's home was lovely!

Todd and Carolyn joined us all for dinner at the Starting Line Racing Café! It was great to see him again, and wonderful to meet her!

Vroom!

VROOM VROOM!

Check out my sunburn, yikes!
Off to Richmond... this travel sucks.
Tuesday, May 25th, 2004
I'm in Richmond.

I slammed my thumb in the trunk lid. My camera button thumb.
On the same hand I sliced into last night (see the band aid?).
I even missed the Blue Angels practice - icing on the cake.

Guess who said yes!

Yes kids, I popped the big question!!

Lisa recreates her reaction to my asking her to be my wife. Just kidding!

Exhibit A.
We want to say a big hello and love to everyone who knew, and who didn't know! PS - Jane, we love you! No foolies!!!
The wedding will be in a few years, as we are poor little middle class people living in an insane upper-class area. We'll get a house next year, then the wedding. Then? BABIES. HUNDREDS OF BABIES.
Love, Jason and Lisa!!
Song on iPod? None... we're watching Adriana get whacked on Sopranos!
LOVE! ;)
