Hey kids! Lisa and I are having fun on our engagement vacation!

Before we left, I took a few pics of the latest retardedness.
I finally figured a way to satisfactorily display my raygun! I took an old lucite stand designed to hold two lightsabers. A trip to the bandsaw and belt sander was all I needed!

You can kinda see it propping up the front of the gun above. To your right, Lisa shows off the two X-Wings I am building for a couple of clients!

They are chock full of blinkies! One goes to California, and one goes to England! Packing that is gonna suck!!

One nine volt supplies all the juice needed.

Here are my angel pictures! We saw some great sculptures this afternoon on the UVA campus.

I want them in my backyard!

Cock Hall?!!!

Each pillar represents a traffic light we encounted on our way down to Charlottesville, heeeee.

Here's "The Downtown Mall" where we shopped... the Omni (where we are staying) is located at one end, so it was easy peasy!

This is a pretty Episcopal church - we had wonderful weather!

My pretty fiancée!!

Me! With my pretty t-shirt!

The Rotunda... blah blah blah.

"Shhhhhh! You smell something?"

The view from the hotel room window! See the Blue Ridge mountains in the distance?

This was a pretty building on the UVA grounds.

Love, Jason!

Aw man, I gotta go to work tomorrow?! Ahaha.

I poured pretty purple silicon rubber in a mold this evening.

It's a teeny mold for my Maschinen Krieger project that has been slowly coming together since 2002. I have been neglecting it because of all these commissioned jobs, sigh. Soon, my pet.

Here's a picture that every girl dreams about. Reading your 1.03 carat diamond's certification/papers from the GIA while eating ice cream and getting your foot rubbed.

Ridiculous!

Yesterday Jane and Tom joined us for lunch in Annapolis. We ate at Friday's, our usual haunt, and had coffee at Starbucks, again - strictly adhering to routine. I picked up the new Saving Private Ryan 4 disc box set with extra Documentary material. I watched it all - absolutely amazing and riveting.

On the 60th anniversary of D-Day, I took pause and tried to absorb the war's scope, and sacrifices an entire generation made for freedom, world wide. I am sad that both grandfathers passed before I was an adult, and could talk to them about it, without the kind omissions they would have shown a child.

So, back to yesterday...

Jane does her Calamity Jane impersonation. We love Deadwood!

Pow pow!

Here's Simon from Friday. He was so pleased I was home for more than a fucking day, that he obsessively groomed/purred all afternoon. His tongue was in a permanent state of "lolling", heeeee.

Thursday, on the way home from Charlottesville, Lisa and I toured Prince Michelle's Vineyard and shot a 30 second promo for work.

I love the barrels. Wheee.

Here's all we saw for a couple of hours. We listened to the new David Cross cd, and then some Jim Gaffigan on the iPod.

I am so sick of driving.

It is pretty, and made infinitely more enjoyable with Lisa, but I am so happy to be home.

I love her new Flip Flops! Silver! OOooooo.

We called this home for 4 days. Hello Powerbook glow! Hello cases of wine! Hello Polar Lights D7 model kit!

And I leave you with the last image from the vacation. The Charlottesville Vespa dealership. Ooh yeeeeah.

This was the mold status as of Monday. More pics later!

Yay! I now have enough parts for my MaK design (in progress...)

I had to work today while Tom and Jane teased me. Holiday, schmoliday.

I primed one of the finished X-Wing hulls last night. Good stuff!

Friday nite I had dinner with Tom and Jane... we tried to get Lisa on the phone, but to no avail. She did her cicada face in her honor.

It was boring without her.

But Jane had fun!

RARRRGH! INK!

Saturday I plugged away at an X-Wing.

I finally saw my lady on Sunday. Here is her "you went to the Outback without me?!?!" face, and her reaction when I said I'd take her there for dinner next week.

We walked around yesterday, and lounged at St. John's College. It was there that we saw a "wine top turtle" that someone had left. Cute. It was fun to have a date!!

Song on iPod? "Savage" by the Cannanes

Heya gang! Lisa and I went to Dave and Holly's last night for Fajitas and croquet! We had a blast, and got wrecked off of sangria. Just another Wednesday night, haha.

Here's a shot of the Dream Team™ ... Andrew won the game!

Dave's cute neighbor kids made a guest appearance.

I said "Smile!" and then I said "Make a goofy face!"... kids are great.

Holly and Simon, the new Hirner puppy!

He eats like a whirling dervish! Food flys! Bowls are pushed!

Frank in action!

KC in action... one handed!

At the end of the evening KC realized he was boxed in.

D'oh!

Thank you Dave and Holly for a Muy Bueno evening.

Today is the most gorgeous day ever.

Here's Jonathan wearing his "Retailbot 2.0" helmet. He's also sporting my T-Shirt Design, hehehe!

The private Prop Board I belong to has a T-Shirt of the month club, where everyone designs a shirt, and each month everyone gets one. I was first up, heheh... so I thought I'd have a little fun!

I also got to drive Simon home Friday evening. He's Dave's cute puppy!

Well, back to Disc Four of Season Four of The Simpsons!!

Today at work, Jenn was a gangsta.

Rainy ride home yesterday! Luckily it cleared later in the evening, and Lisa and I went for a walk in the neighborhood.

This is in Wardour, and is the house I grew up in, pre-Saudi Arabia (we lived there around 1981). I have vivid memories of playing Star Wars in that yard.

This is the private road to the side where I learned to ride my bike. I can't tell you how many Star Wars toys must be buried in this area... along with some lizards I had as pets.

The neighborhood is beautiful.

Here's Lisa on the railroad bridge. Pretty lady! You used to be able to drive across this bridge, but some time in the last 15 years or so, they closed it to vehicular traffic.

The railroad tracks disappear in summer.

Looking across from the other direction, towards the Severn River.

Straight down.

This morning, Marie showed off her disguise. Heeeee!

We had a great weekend! Friday nite Lisa, Tom, Jane, and I did the 'ol Outback/Starbucks/Barnes and Noble fun!

Then Jane sang into her mic.

Saturday Lisa and I went to her cousin's graduation party and had a cookout. Summertime!!

I spent all day Sunday (and by that I mean 11 hours!!) making X-Wings and M2-F2 lifting bodies, and Avrocars. My back hurts a little, but it was relaxing. I got a little scooting in too, as it was gorgeous outside.

So a new Cure cd comes out today...
