Welcome to September. My birthday is on the 27th - you may tithe accordingly. I am weary/tired, but in a great mood today. I finished a big project, cleaned and dusted my teeny humble digs(still more to go), am wrapping up loose ends with the old car, and got a package in the mail yesterday.
We are entering the time of year when I am at my most comfortable in my body - the Fall. I am 1/4th Icelandic, as my grandmother is full-on viking blood. Our kind don't do well in the heat and humidity at all. I think we've figured out the Halloween plans too - Rasputina is playing the Ottobar!
My commute to work has become a game of Russian Roulette. There is construction on the only bridge to Eastport, making it a one-lane artery. Yesterday it took me 45 minutes to drive 4 miles to the office, and today it took 10 (both times I stopped for my mocha). It's a fun game!

Here's what came for me in the post - Oh, Bossk!

Miss Lisa drove to work today, so I am driving her to and from her office tonight and tomorrow. Yay! Tonight we catch up on Six Feet Under.

Blackout Cake. How was it? We don't remember. HARRR!

Friday nite I had dinner with Tom and Jane - we saw a praying mantis on the roof of a car at Harbor Center. How odd that I would see one the next day as well! This time, I took pics. He even attacked my camera!

A mere second before lunging at my lens.
Yesterday I went to Towson and had a great dinner with Lisa and the Wynns. We went to El Salto.

I had a margarita.

Jane was slow to perk up.

But she came around, heeee.

Tom echoed our sentiments - the chips are goooood.

Chips go "here" eh?

Awwww, we went shopping at Towson Town Center too! FUN!
Today I washed the car, cleaned some of the basement (IE - got rid of lingering hidden cat pee pee spots, put more books into rubbermaid containers, and swept up resin, wood, and plastic bits), and relaxed. I have a lot to do in the coming months - big things! We are planning a trip to Japan in February... YAY! More on that soon.
Love, Eaton-san.

Ah, back to reality.

Simon enjoyed catnip over the long weekend. He gets aggressive. Rarrgh!

We saw a GIANT MOTH on the front porch.

And as always, Lisa was absolutely adorable.

Last night I did some castings in resin. POW! It kicked mid pour, lol. I got better at it on the second pour.

Lisa's Map of the Village from the Prisoner arrived. A PROP for HER?!?!

More later, gators!

Heya everybody! I've been a busy bee lately - finished a big project, starting a new one today, and accepted a new position at Hopkins in Baltimore! I'm doing what I do now, but with no travel and insane perks. I will miss my Landmarks friends.
Today is hectic (I'm sure the next two weeks will be like this as I get everything here in order for whoever replaces me) so I'll leave you with pics of what I got last night!

Here's a teaser of an idea I had. An eight chapter "fake autobiography" comic where I make shit up about myself. You'll click each tentacle and it will lead to a different story.

The Star Wars Trilogy hits dvd today... It's all I can think about, haha. MUST SEE BONUS DISC. Ahem.
I had food poisioning yesterday... I suspect it was something in the Mocha I had, because it didn't hit me until 10 am or so. I was miserable for the next 13 hours, on and off. I muddled through work though (actually got a lot done), and started in earnest on the latest freelance job :) which arrived via Fedex, two days late (grrr). Last time I had food poisioning was in 1996 or so, and I gotta tell you, I am not a fan of violent projectile vomiting. Jeez.
I ate very little yesterday (and only "retained" about a third of that). Today my tummy is still super tender, but stable. Star Wars will make it all better.

Well, it's my last day at Landmarks... and how can I leave without one more silly movie?

Hey I'm back!I have successfully completed the two day training and am getting things together in my new office. Wanna see?

Well first, here's a pic of me from weeks ago, at El Salto's. Sheesh, I have some catching up to do!

Here is the multi-story sculpture in the Asthma and Allergy building where I ate lunch (with Tom and Jane) on Monday and Tuesday.

Jane was in a devilish mood!

And today she made a nice cartoon on my wipe board!

Here's me and my ID. Note giant stress zit on chin. Delightful.

Here's my new desk - the computer rules. I'm rearranging and cleaning :)

Just outside my door, and in the foyer of the 'lil lab we have in this building, sits the gigantic plotter printer. Welcome to the world of tomorrow!

Finally, here's an example of some video equipment I've been wanting to get for a long time. Yay!
