Archives - January 2005

Back in the Saddle
Wednesday, January 5th, 2005

Well gang, I'm back. I hope you like the changes! I know I do. It will make things much easier to manage as this website (and its subsidiaries) continute to spiral out of control, and bloat to embarassing proportions. So let's catch up, since I've not posted in almost two months!

I got a haircut last night, and feel peppy today. Fun fact for the day - I went until 3:45 until someone noticed my sweater is backwards!! YEAH! It's backwards in that pic, taken around lunchtime.

Here I am from last night, getting my haircut by Dee Dee. Damn hippie!

Now, here's a fun pic from December 10th, at Lisa's work Christmas Party. I got drunk on Manhattans. I was in disguise.

Lovely Lambtron, giving us a taste of her "scary face"! OOOOO!

Then, we enjoyed dessert.

We also had a holiday party at my work. Here you see Brad, Russell, and Doug.

Jane posed for the camera that day, too.

I couldn't help but laugh when I saw this on a bulletin board on the 2nd floor.

Don't forget the baaaaaby. Maren and Crissy say hello.

Delightful Liiisa.

Sorry about the quality - this pic was taken with my camera... I parked next to a twin at lunch today!

So thanks for coming back, and I'll see you very soon. xox, Jason

Brad and I made a little movie for you all to enjoy. He's a guy I work with who just happens to do a dead on Brak impersonation. Look for Brak as Boba Fett, Ruby Rhod as Darth Vader, and the British Imperials are now Indian.

Tom, Jane, and I are going to hit Panera after work... Lisa has a Bellydance thang on Sunday! Have a great weekend, e'vrbuddy.

Dancing in a sea of white hair

Lisa had a Bellydance recital at a Senior Center, of all places! It was fun, and surreal. I heard so much amazingly humorous chatter from the elderly as they watched supple young women gyrate... but out of respect, I won't publically poke fun. Plus, you need to hear me do the voices for maximum laffs.

Here she is, shaking her beads! Yes, beads. You're filthy.

Post show Lisa! She, as always, was excellent.

Afterwards, I visited my brother Jonathan at Villa Julie since I was so close...

Here he is pretending to do work.

His housing is amazingly swanky. Jonathan, you're an ass. JEALOUS!!!!

I'm addicted to Tegan and Sara!!

Stop, smell the flowers, save big on felt and googly eyes!

Heya gang! I've been terribly busy lately. Besides work, I've been preparing to sell items in Tokyo in February via a friend, clearing my schedule for the next big project from a client, and guess what? I do believe that a certain Jason Eaton gets to go to the Lucasfilm Archives in a few weeks to do some secret stuff involving Star Wars props! REAL ONES.

I am also being a good fiance, friend, and website builder. Spent the weekend catching up on dvds that I got for Christmas (I got Monday off! Fed holidays rule!), working on some Blade Runner guns, and playing with Miss Lisa, and Tom and Jane! Lisa "smelled" the "flowers" at Michael's:

I ambushed Jane on an endcap display:

And of course, Tom showed me a gas powered automatic machine (B-B) gun.
I WANNA. POW POW! See the yellow B-B entering the trashcan?!

I'll get that movie file up tomorrow!

STILL addicted to Tegan and Sara.

Send us home!

It just started snowing.... and I'd rather not drive to Annapolis after dark. The construction guys sure have a shitty day...

Jane shows the weather condition to those of us without a window.

So busy!!!
Tuesday, January 25th, 2005

So sorry for the lack of updates! My Powerbook Hard Drive died - so it is at Apple getting repaired (for free, yay for Applecare!) I have been insanely busy with work, preparing items to sell in Tokyo, and getting everything ready for a trip-of-a-lifetime that I cannot talk about. It's in California. That's all I can say.

We have been braving the snow this past week...

Lisa and I joined Tom and Jane at El Salto last Friday night.

She was doing her Panda impressions.

Tom and Jane were... impressed. (giggle)

More later!

Tired already...
Friday, January 28th, 2005

So I'm getting material ready for my trip out to California, going through some cool Star Wars pics in my stash of photos in an attempt to streamline the laptop's resurrection, and trying not to think about my Powerbook still not being here. As it stands right now, it will get diverted to Walnut Creek California instead of the original delivery to Annapolis Maryland, so if everything goes as planned, I will have my laptop back when I arrive in California on Monday. So light your votives and pray to Vaal or whatever. Keep your Sankara Stones safe. Speaking of safe - as much as I love airplanes, the process creeps me the hell out - so I hope my layovers and general safety are all a-okay. I get to carry on an extra bag, because of my sleep apnea machine, so not everything is bad, heh.

I sent two boxes to my friend Goto-san, who lives in Nagano Japan. I'll report back in late February about how my stuff was received. Flash forward a year from now, and Lisa and I will be going! Plenty of time to save for the trip and spend a week in Tokyo. "nata wa nihongo o hanashimasu ka" ....I need to learn! Also making some more friends in the Maschinen Krieger scene.

Tomorrow, Lisa and I paint pottery with Tom and Jane - yay!! I will probably be offline until Friday, but if I get the chance, I will update. Wish me luck!

Nervous!
Sunday, January 30th, 2005

Okay, so I dislike flying - for as big an airplane buff as I am, the actual flying part scares the bejeezus out of me. Unnngh. I will just forge ahead, and hope I have everything I need.

We painted pottery last night!

I made a mug. It's okay... I was off my game last night - too much going on!

I have been poisoned?!?

My most adorable Lisa presents a brush!

Tom and Jane were amazing as usual - they made three cat dishes. One for each of their cats, and each one is personalized. Poppy is a firecracker (and was born close to, if not on, the 4th of July). Paige is their kitty who needs frequent and costly trips to the vet (heee), and Perthy was born on/near Valentines day! As usual, I'm in awe.

To add to my stress - it's snowing!! It started last night, and I drew a cat on Lisa's hood. I have to leave in an hour and drive to PA...
