Grill-a-thon continues

Tuesday, June 2nd, 2009

Here's some Coco, at 1am on a work night.

Finished the Lunadiver buildup for the Wonderfest table sample!

Grilled some apricot chicken and asparagus last night.

Apricot jelly, lemon juice, soy sauce and pepper. On the Asparagus I added red bell pepper, then drizzled olive oil and pepper.

We ate half, and will have the second half for leftovers this evening. See? I can cook!

Pretty Porch, prettypretty

Friday, June 12th, 2009

Catching a momentary break in all of this FUCKING RAIN, I painted the front porch, which had languished for the Winter in a state of half-assed-primer.

There is no such thing as a true 90º angle on an 85 year old house.

Except maybe the mailbox post? Anywho, we're pleased.

So pleased in fact, we got a big 'ol box of Chinese food that fed me for a dinner and two lunches!

So we came home a few days ago to find this super skinny kitty waiting for us in the front yard. Just lounging around without a care in the world. We suspect she might have just given birth, so Lisa is at HIGH ALERT LEVEL "KITTEN" - we will keep you updated if she shows herself to us again.

Feed my babies!

Yay I killed the wall!

Saturday, June 13th, 2009

You may remember our wall breaking out into moldy cruddiness... we monitored it, and it started spreading, so I started bashing away!

With the wall being wet, the stuff just sluffed off at first - and my incredibly powerful arms made short work of the lathe.

As I worked up the wall, the wall became dry and lighter - see how dark the wet under-layer was? It REEKED, too... see the hair? That's either horse or HOG hair! They used to mix it in with that first layer of plaster to help it bind to the lathe!

I finally demolished high up enough to find the leak - the pipe to the right is literally weeping! See that wet rust?

I believe it's been slowly soaking that slurry at the bottom of the wall, which then soaked the wall/paint... so I'll call a plumber to get this pipe fixed, and then I'll patch that wall back up!

Lunadiver has been approved!

Monday, June 15th, 2009

Masa gave me the wonderful news that the Lunadiver has been approved for sale at Wonderfest next month!

I am making a few with lights!

The table sample is completely finished now!

The electronics are installed in #2 and #3.

#3 gets a "missile pod" for the weapons system!

Always busy!

Lisa made "Enchi-Lisas" (Enchiladas) this past weekend!

And I mowed the lawn - it was hot outside. Our house is a mess. More soon - and please be sure to check out Mystery10 later today for Lunadiver information!
