The Perfect Pizza

Thursday, July 29th, 2010

Played around while waiting for models to dry - a new Saltflat Racer!

Lisa made the most amazing pizza, using our fresh grown basil plant and home made mozzarella from the Italian deli down the street.

Pan seared tomatoes with a healthy seasoning (and olive oil).

Home made dough from scratch using our sexy new stand mixer!!

A work of art.

Ready! It was amazing.

We went to Bombay Nights for another cooking class!! This time it was Chicken Korma!

Spices!

We also got to see how Naan is made - it STICKS TO THE SIDE OF THE TANDOOR!!! I had no idea.

Monday saw a return to Chaps Pit Beef for lunch. Amazing.

Gordon continues to monopolize my time!

Last night I made Greek Chicken...

... broiled Brussels Sprouts in sesame oil and seasoning, and steak fries in garlic salt!!

Bison and India

Thursday, July 15th, 2010

For the Fourth of July, Lisa and I got some Bison meat, and we had a lovely day at her sister's house, and a lovely evening with Tom' Jane, John, and Libby - at John and Libby's!

Baby bison are the tenderest of all.

I must say, this never ending heat wave is getting old... at least today's thunderstorms gave us a small break.

Gordon "gave" me a day off a week back, when he dumped the contents of his bladder on me, the bed, comforter, etc - right after I had showered for work. Took him to the vet (where as you can see, he chose the highest ground), who concluded I must have just "startled him" in picking him up. Yeah, whenever I'm startled, I pee all over the place too, sure.

Douchenozzle McGee™ who parked so close I had to climb in to my car through the passenger seat.

Delightful eBay score - vintage kit from 1964.

Grilled chicken, grilled asparagii with roasted yellow pepper, and salad with "imposter Olive Garden Italian dressing".

Manhattan!

Last night I made Chicken Tikka Masala. Marinated the chicken overnight in yogurt and spices, cooked the chicken while the pot with tomatos, salt, onions, potato, etc stewed...

Prepped the heavy cream, spices, and red peppers alongside the crushed cashew nut paste.

All combined, simmered, and served with saffron/butter Basmati rice!
